Show all of the first line of a folded code segment

In the pl/sql editor window when you fold code just the key word remains in pale grey. I think this would be more useful if the whole first line was retained so that it is easier to identify what code has been folded.

For example instead of:

CURSOR...

You would see:

CURSOR c_get_acc_dets IS...

Still in pale grey so it's still obvious that it has been folded.

Also although select, delete and inserts statements can be folded update statements can't. Please can this be included.

  1. a suggestion could be to show as much as possible from the folded command in one line in the color gray. In that way insert and delete can be readable too.

  2. I generally don't want to see the whole line of text but I do agree that CURSOR should be fixed to act like FUNCTION and PROCEDURE. That is, display the cursor name in the fold like so:

    CURSOR cur_name...

The hover feature that pops up the code is nice.

Personally, I would like to set the color for the folded line to something super visible instead of nearly-invisible gray. Scrolling through 4000 lines trying to spot the light gray [LOOP...] is not exactly easy.

  3. In the TOAD editor window, when I fold a multi-line comment, I would like to have the option for it to stay folded (or not) after executing the auto-formatter
